Begin your wine tasting afternoon with the Fort Ross Winery, located high on the coastal ridges just five minutes north of Jenner. Floating above the clouds even on the foggiest day, you’ll sip 100% estate grown vintages in a rustic barn-style building that is the first and only tasting room in the new Fort Ross-Seaview AVA. We believe winemaker Jeff Pisoni has succeeded in elevating Fort Ross Vineyard pinot noirs and chardonnays to new heights of excellence.

For couples looking to spend a day immersed in Sonoma County wine country, head north from River’s End and follow the winding roads toward Healdsburg. The scenic twelve-mile stretch of Westside Road unfolds through rolling vineyards, ancient trees, and quiet country lanes, with beautiful wineries appearing along the way.
This is a road made for lingering. Take your time. Stop where the setting catches your eye, share a tasting, find a sunny patio, and let the afternoon unfold without hurry.

As you arrive in Healdsburg, make time for a refreshing drink at The Madrona—and be sure to try their famously memorable chips and dip. From there, wander into town and settle in for lunch. Healdsburg offers everything from Oaxacan-inspired chicken mole at Agave to Japanese ramen at Taste of Tea. For couples who believe lunch should be savored rather than rushed, Bravas Bar de Tapas, just off the historic Healdsburg Plaza, is a wonderful place to linger over food, wine, and conversation.

Iron Horse wines have been served at the White House for nearly fifty years, adding a bit of history to an already memorable stop.
